StoPP Day 01

I didn't think I'd be coming back here to blog again.. but anyway here goes. This time it's for a different module and lecturer so.. Yeah.

Anyways, for Amanda, I'll be labelling the posts under StoPP.

Hmm. Got to know about our final project for this module. It was to make a short animatics for an MTV. Got into our groups. The group I'm in has Adeline, Shermin, Cheryl, and Betty. :) Hopefully all will go well. Hmm and so since we've to present our storyboards on Monday, today's task was basically to draw rough storyboards. We'll be showing them tomorrow (Friday) to each other so that we'll be able to choose/get some ideas from each other.

So far I've thought of some ideas for my own storyboard but I can't really seem to imagine it when I draw. Maybe because my mind's kind of occupied. There's Jap roleplay script problem, Jap test tomorrow, and this storyboard. Hmm.. but I think not much can be done since I'm going back to Malaysia during the weekend.. So I guess I'll have to do what I can now :\

Oh yeah. We've roughly sorted out jobs for some. But it's not really finalised.. or complete. Basically Adeline and I would be working on the storyboard. Betty will be working on collaterals. Cheryl will be helping her out? Shermin said she'd do promotional materials but somehow Adeline and I want to help her out in that too XD. Erm,.. mood board.... ....? And so, like I said, it wasn't finalised. But Betty seems to be able to take the job on collaterals. She said she was experienced in that so.. yeah :D Before that I was worrying cause I don't like doing those kind of things. Ahaha. :)

Hmm.. I think it will be kind of tough...somehow..? Ahh..I wish for Jap to end already! So that we can concentrate on this.

ANYWAY.. The song we chose was "What if she's an angel" by Steiner Tommy Shane. I read the other song's lyrics also. It was "Coward of the country" by Kenny Rogers. Seems to have more words in it, more activities, basically more things going on. While the song we chose didn't really have much going on and has shorter lyrics, but I think all of us liked how it sounded like, like what it was telling, and chose what we thought was closer to us. So yeah, no regrets I guess? :)

Thursday

Yesterday, went home to sleep. Was really tired. Set alarm to 9pm actually.. but phone ran out of battery so it didn't ring.. The other alarm clock,.. I have no idea why it went off.. I think my roommate turned it off >_>".

So yeah,.. woke up late..about 11.40am? Somewhere there.. Hahaha..Slept quite long.. Oh dear.. Have been some time eversince I slept that long during the block! Hmm... then read my SMSes.. Went to ask if my group's done with the video concept and all.. zOMG.. Found out it's not done yet. So, I quickly turned the PC on and started typing it out...with help of the Video. Stressed.

Then, TY messaged.. Went to school to continue typing with her. Vivien came down from her MMFund class to pass us the storyboard, script, and all. She read the concept, and went up to continue her MMFund assignment. I hope she manage to complete it! Good luck girl.. Hmm.. Did a few more and then TY went to help print and bind while I compile everything to burn into CD. Zzz. Lecturers then came in. They had to use the 3D Animationg lab. So, we were shoo-ed out of the class :(. Went to the 2D animation lab to continue. TY came back. We did some double checks on what's not in the CD to burn and all. Phew.. Good thing she came. I think my brain was kind of stuck and all, and I missed out some files.. xD"...

Panicked. We were late. Went to the General Office to pass it up.. but heard that we were actually supposed to pass it up to Wahidah in the classroom. Since my slippers had some er, problems..? >_>" Passed it to TY and she ran to Wahidah XD.. Good job girl :P Ahaha XD Anyway, yes yes, it was really a good thing Wahidah was still there! So sorry we are always late :(.. Had really hoped things like that wouldn't happen... :\...but..ah..still late.. >_>.. Sorry! Still wondering why she called me aunty though.. >_>... Heard that we were the 2nd last group to pass it up :s..

After passing it up, felt more relaxed.. but.. Still have blogs to update and all.. Yeah.. Kind of like, rushing to complete it now..because I'm going to Malaysia later >_>.. In fact, right after this, I'm going to rush back home to pack and off to the bus terminal! Heard that we'll be having hols! Yay! x) Bye!

Might edit it a little more later.. but it'll be after 12am! Like, maybe tomorrow.. but oh well, will hand in the complete one on Monday.

o_O... HOME!! Bus met up with a small accident when it almost reached the station.. Luckily it wasn't a big one, and no one was hurt x).. Felt like a KPC when my brothers and all went down to see also >_>.. Good thing we were there actually to wait for my mom to come fetch us x)

Couldn't really sleep when I was in the bus.. Maybe I was thinking too much. oO.. Hmm.. Well anyway, this is the end of the block, end of MOIP1, end of sem 2! ZOMG FINALLY.... Thought.. Actually thought that it would be nice if we were given another project like this..as in, you get to mix around with the others and all, know more about them.. Maybe,.. maybe not... I don't know. Okay, you can call me crazy. Like I said, wasnt completely happy with the video...which is partially my fault :\ Didn't manage to finish editing it Properly.. SORRY GROUP MEMBERS. but I also think it would have been better if things were done sooner.. As in, if only the group didn't slack at some times(it was fun though :x?), some days, and Sorry for returning to Malaysia for a few times.. :\

Arghhh...somehow this thing is disturbing me! SHOO..GO AWAY. LEAVE ME ALONE. IT'S 4 SOMETHING! Oh dear.. Thinking about lecturers having to read this trash(?)/super long blog posts of about 60 MOI students.. I pity you :x Good luck! :x Sorry if we wrote too much trash xD"..

++Hahahah.. it's amazing how people can update so much in such a short time :x..Well, anyway, this is kind of a reflection...since I'm not asleep yet anyway. Group projects.. I think.. arguments tend to rise... somehow or rather, there's also bonding... like, you tend to get close, far, and all.. but..what if everything's over? Do you think the group will still stick together? Reading some other people's blog about still being together is making me feel something weird. Well, I doubt it will happen to us, as in my group. I think everything will go back to square one. Coming year is when we'll be in our major right? That'll bring us to another place anyway.. Wondering if there'll be another time when all MOI people will be able to gather together. When will all of us know each and everyone of us anyway? Or will that even happen? Why am I thinking about all this things? -_-. It's just the beginning! Zzz... I think I should really get to bed before my parents actually wake up and nag at me XD"..Think I slept a little too much yesterday...

Day 30 - Final Presentation

Stressed. Quite a lot not finished... No sound effect for stone animation, no subtitles, many more..!! Arghhh.. Had hoped I didn't sleep at all..and yes, MSN...

Went to school to continue editing. Mouse at home is so small, it annoyed me.. Hard to control.

I think it was quite productive in school. Not sure if it's because it's reaching the time, or because it's school, or I don't know..but somehow I managed to do things faster.. Edited the credits a little. Also put in names of modules, and some pictures of our works. One of the puppet scene went wrong when I used the pc in school.. It was fine when I did it at home.. In fact, I have proof.. cause I tried rendering the unfinished one but Oh well.. can't do anything anyway, right? So, had to do some extra last minute editing also.. Erm...anyway, had no more time. Rendered the video. Heard some good news from Yuan Ming that it was okay to put it into CD if we really have no choice. BUT...it soon ended. After the video finished rendering, I tried playing it but it couldn't work! ZZZZZZzzzzz Stupid. Then, re-rendered it but a little differently.

While that, since time was reaching soon, went down to look for Wahidah... to tell her the problem and if we could put the file into harddisk... Cannot, cannot, only allowed to put into tape cause the PC there cannot handle :(. She was angry... which made me lose my mood also.. Couldn't really smile for some time..

Oh..I think it was because many groups were not done with transfering their video into the tape so the presentation delayed, changed to 1pm! OMG.. Thank you, lecturers!

Anyway, at that time, I lent the camera to Sarah's group. Yuan Ming lent hers to Gina's group. Somehow or rather, my video camera landed in Yuan Ming's hands. So, let them put it into the tape first.. My group's video's not done with rendering anyway. When it was done, tried to open it. Ahh.. finally can open.. there were some jump cuts when showcasing works though D:... but no more time.. Finally after Yuan's group's done, went to transfer the video into tape. We were some sort of just in time.. Yay.. Wasn't that happy because 1. Lecturer is angry. 2. Stressed. 3. Video was kind of incomplete in a way.. Like, still no sound effect for stone, ending song had to be cut and ya..all of a sudden kind of thing... 4. No subtitles. Aaron was supposed to help me with subtitles but..ah...he came late. By the time he came, the video was still rendering. Can't really blame him either because he slept really late. Just hope that they'll understand what we're saying when we show our video to them..

Clip was exactly 10 minutes because I set it to 10 minutes in After Effects. ARGH.. Didn't knew we could put animations and all using Premier Pro.. Zzz.. So Sorry, group! :(

Anyway, presentation. Didn't knew everyone would be presenting today.. As in the whole MOI. So, it ended up taking some time. But before that, we had to do Peer Assessment.. 

Back to videos..
Thought that it was kind of entertaining, especially some groups like Apple's group and all. Shall comment a little on our class's groups..Don't really have much time to elaborate now..might edit it when I'm in Malaysia or something..(Read last post)

Press to Exit(still wondering why they decided to choose this name.. didn't quite match them cause someone said Press to Play before the video started..)'s was better than the one they presented to the class the other day..

Looney Bin did it the comedy way. Somehow I prefered watching the one they presented in class also.. Still didn't quite get the ending. but Eyy.. it's not boring k :)
SNAP.. somehow, I prefered their previous one.. I have no idea why though... Didn't quite like the fact that they put quite a lot their outside of school work inside.. especially for Video..
Crewsade, great job. I think they managed to do it the epic way. It was way better than the presentation the other day when I thought it didn't really suit the theme. :) Even Mr Ronald clapped! :D

Conclusion, good job everyone :)

and now that I think about it, I think it's better for a group to have a theme.. eg Epic(Raj's group), SNAP(Street style), Looney Bin(Comedy), Mole Productions(Spy),etc?

Day 29

Can't really remembered what happened..but er.. as far as I remember...

Oh.. I think I did some editing in Maya cause they said they wanted the glow.. also did a little bit on the ending credits..

Erm.. Then, went to school and continued editing the ending stop motion.. Running looked weird because I think erm, Ting Yu drew the wrong hand. Hahaha. Nevermind, girl :P.. Tried drawing in Photoshop/Flash to make it look right.. but the color is a bit off :(.. So that makes the action look off too :(.. When Ting Yu came, I showed it to her. Haven't match it with the song yet.. So,.. she edited it a little...

Aaron edited the video. He began putting in songs.. and some sound effects that Vivien found the other day.

Aaron told me to make the STONE word stand out more because Tri said it didn't really bring our group name up. In the end, she said the previous one was better. So, we ended up using that. I was fine with that. So were the rest..but I think Aaron prefered the one with the glow. Actually, I redid it but I made the wrong stone disappear so.. we couldn't use the new one I rendered.. The animation was different also.. if you get what I mean -_-.

Can't really remember what else did I do.. except for the fact that I tried editing the video also. Later, went to Aaron's pc where he also did editing and cuttings, and continued cutting the video short. Didn't like the many many many cuts, especially at the ending part.. but since we're overtime anyway.... :\ let it be. Hmm.. anyway, don't know where Ting Yu went in the evening.. She had something on I think..but glad the ending is going well..as in, better..

Well anyway for today, Aaron managed to cut it to about 10 minutes 30 seconds or less? and after his cuts, I managed to cut it to 8 minutes 45 seconds??..since the Stone intro and ending is not in yet. Somewhere there.. Later, put the intro and ending in to render so that we could put in animation and some works in After Effects + a little more editing?

Oh.. Vivien and I also did on credits..

While waiting for it to render, went to eat. Came back, continued our work. Managed to put some in.. Had to do some editing cause the timing is kind of off.. Security guard came in again... :\ Went home to do more editing because I'm the only who had After Effects. Erm, Vivien had it too... but... I can't remember. Hahaha. Oh... She had her MMFund to do : Poor girl. Wondering if she can cope... Ah.. Aaron has 2 modules this block also.. Sometimes I tend to forget that fact. So, sorry man... I think he's been skipping some lessons.. Also wondering if he did okay for it.. Hope nothing goes badly for them!

I think I got a little addicted to the song TY put for the ending.. Hahaha. Oh... and about the 3D stone, we ended up using the old one.

Anyway,.. at home...did editing.. Aaron helped edit a little on the credits... Ah.. I think it was a mistake to have MSN open when I'm editing.. D:..

Day 28

Alright.. finally got the days right I think... Edited. Let's hope I can remember what happened..

Anyway, we spent our weekend doing flash animations. Woo~ Vivien and I continued doing a little bit more of it today... OH yes... Finally completed the SPC Stone 3D Animation!

Lol.. I agree with Vivien doing quite slowly in animation..So she's assigned to do only one scene..but I don't think I have the right to blame her for that because I understand that she has another module to worry about... So..animation scene...

Dropped some parts of animation.. We actually simplified the ending part. Instead of animating the painting, we animated the chibi puppet pulling it instead.. :) Hmm..I think we reshot my part where I talk about Animation... and then TY talking about Drawing Essentials..?

Hmm.. anyway, did some er,.. stop motion? or whatever it's called. We actually took pictures of the drawing TY did, with little help from me and Vivien in tracing it. We had Vivien hold the notepad, and TY flipping the pages. As for me, all I did was take the pictures :P, helping them flip when they encountered a problem, and adjust Vivien's hands when it goes off the frame. It took quite some time, but after seeing the end product, we felt kind of happy :) and er, at least, it's easier than the stop motion of the real mannequin.... >_>.. I guess we are not to that standard yet, and we have not much time to do it.

Let's see.. Aaron edited the video.. Cutting it short. When I went over to see what he's done(if I got the day right..), the program actually hanged... :\ and Aaron had to cut it short again. Didn't know what happened.. Well,.. it's a good thing he didn't have to redo the whole thing... but anyway,.. since I think it's partially my fault, Sorry D:

Vivien went to look for sound effects. TY and I transferred the photographs into the computer. Oh dear.. Had to resize them all because the pictures were too big and er ya, Flash couldn't handle it. :( When we were done with that, I went back to animating the chibi pulling the credits. All of us stayed till about 12. Went back to adjust the flash thing a little... Added a frame of the puppet looking up in photoshop, and added some frames because the running action looked weird... but the color is a bit off.. D:

Oh yes,.. talked to Aaron about another way of putting things into the video... which was what I was trying to say last time.. but.. yeah.. it's already too late anyway.. and I think.. Sometimes I am a little like, want things to go MY way..(Bad, I guess) which is why, sometimes, I think, it's best for me to do individual work I think..? Shalalalala.. nevermind. Things will be over soon! Oh and he did say why it's done that way.. reliving the experience......

Saturday

Woke up late but lol still earliest to reach >:D..

Hmm.. went to do some flash of the chibi(small in japanese) puppet. TY then came, followed by Aaron, and then Vivien. Went over to buy lunch. After eating, started filming. Filmed the part where Aaron holds the storyboard in his hands. Also filmed the part where all 3 of them talk about 2D Art Fundamentals. After that, recorded some voice overs for photography. It wasn't a very productive day as all of us actually reached school later than the arranged time. :\ We wanted to film my part but by that time, the doors were already erm, locked? As in we can't get in even when we tap our cards.

Bleh... Anyway, managed to transfer the filming and voice overs into the computer. Eh wait... did I transfer the voice over? O_O".. Shall check later... lol. Hmm.. since we don't have premier pro, we couldn't edit the video :( So, all we could do was flash o.o...... Yep, went to eat dinner, then went to Aaron's workplace.. Did some flash.. Also some sort of assigned tasks for the animators. Hmm... but we still need to film, and still need to animate, still need to edit :\

Friday

Er..went to school and tested the video if it could be rendered.. It couldn't. This time Wahidah had another lecturer(Peng?) to help us out. It finally rendered...but it's without audio and it's a super big file O_O".. Rendered out some short clips that needed animation..

Video was still about 16 minutes long. Thought we had to cut it short. Told them I thought the part where we filmed the lecturers teaching in class was kind of draggy, long, a little boring... Some other parts like the part where Vivien, TY, and Aaron talked about 2D Art Fund is a little too long also. Didn't knew if I should say it out because none of them said a thing. :\

So,.. things to be done.. 

1. Talk about animation fundamentals :(

2. Voice over for photography?

3. Storyboard. Previous one had some reflections(lights)

4. Reshoot picture for Ideation works.

5. Talk about drawing essentials

6. Take pictures of A3, A4 sketchbook? Like,..to..showcase...

7. Continue cutting short Video Fundamentals video OR film a talk about it, like Drawing Essentials.

8. Talk about 2D Art Fund..?

9. Ending. Take photos.

10. Animation!! CHIONG AH...?

MIGHT retake 2D Art Fund works because there's no shake :( If not, we'd just use the ones we have right now.

Showed group members except Aaron(forgot) the short stone animation. Roommate actually said it looked like potato :((((.. Need to do some changes to it. Vivien, TY, and I took turns outlining the mannequin drawing for Ending.. But at the end we noticed some frames were not there... or there's just some error?? Hmm... 

Reshot the door for intro today. Sholleh, thanks for the tape... and lol,.. took pictures too...

Was also thinking of adding "Overall, it was a fun journey" maybe before the credits come in? Might be weird.. I dunno... Thought of doing it a little like the way Meet The Robinsons did it. Hmm... Also wondered if we needed to tell the audience what subject are we talking about and all..like, label..

Day 27

Went to school to help Aaron with editing... but I'm kind of indecisive.. So it wasn't really a good move to ask me to choose things... haha. Depends. Anyway, video was still longer than required but we tried rendering it to show it to Wahidah.. but later knew that it would be on the next day...

TY came, followed by Vivien. There were problems with rendering so we did it all over again. While waiting, I went to the Diploma Show, MOI.. Haha... Wondered how long were they given to do the whole thing.. When I came back, Vivien was to copy and draw the mannequin out for the ending...

I continued animating the chibi version of the puppet. Does it really look like a guy? :( Oh wells.. nevermind. I was the only one who really started on animating but, to think that I took super long to do that little.... :\... Wondering if we can finish the whole thing.

Also, since the video was kind of long, figured we might need to cut off some, or do some last minute changes, but none of them said anything so far. Have yet to confront them. Maybe when we really have no choice I guess..

They played with my hair again..Not as bad as yesterday. Phew!

Noticed that I get tired every time I finish blogging...-______-... Hope to finish maya today :( kind of laggy cause there are many stones :( or maybe cause of the lesser space in my pc due to the video files and movies. :\

Rendered from morning 11+ till night. Still unable to get the file.. Tried it on 2 computers... :\

Oh..also played a little with Adeline's tablet :) kind of hard to use but when drawing it's okay I guess? Kind of hard to see the mouse though... :s

Day 26

Today, helped out in the DiplomaShow. Had to guard the seats. It's quite a pain when parents had no more seats(limited..), and we had to shoo people who weren't supposed to sit on the seats.. Felt bad at times.. Some people were annoying.. including photographers(students, I guess)...Wasn't a very organised one, cause it's like, we're not supposed to let people sit, but when the show was starting, others just sat there like nobody's business, and "Fill the space"?! It was too sudden.. Some people said "They ask you to fill up the spaces because they don't want the seats to be empty, like it gives bad impression to the media". Wasn't a very good experience :( Might not want to go for those kind of thing anymore.. Stood till erm, had a little back pain(lol?) and er tired feet..but stood at a place where I could see the whole fashion show >:D.. It's quite a wonder how some students can get inspired by things like stairs, toys, and all. Some are nice.. :) The little girl that appeared on stage was cute and had on a nice dress too! :) Also thought that some people who took the video are quite creative.. like, rotating the camera :) and er..composition? lol.

Oh.. instead of a landyard(?not sure about the spelling),.. we were given scarfs.. lol.. "tablecloth"?

Later, went back to class. Sholleh got inspired by the fashion show or something.. or models.. Then while waiting for the files with Betty, and since he had nothing to do, he actually played with my hair, tied it, styled it?? So happened I had hairbands and pins... comb also.. Oh my... pain man.. So tight.. Don't torture my hair D: A few of them died :( Vivien then joined for a while..Haha.. Walaooooo.. All those funny thing, what against gravity??? Hahaha. Funny people la.. but the last one was okay. xP Haha :)

Erm, Aaron and TY finally came back from TCC. Continued looking at editings.. Hmm.. Heard that my brother was looking for me :O~

Well then after that all of us went home x).. I went to McDonald's to meet my brother and his two MOI friends :D Ehh.. They were so nice la.. They were done eating but they waited for me and accompanied me for dinner :) and they were so funny! XD Ahh.. like, how lucky for my brother to have met people like them. They are like, the only seniors(and MOI!) that I know. (no comments for orientation seniors...) Somehow felt kind of sad since they will be graduating soon... It's always like this. I come in, then soon later, they go out. Reminds me of sec school.. Anyway, Hope to know more people like them. They were kind of open also... :) Might go visit them at the TCC later/tmr :)

Actually got carried away, didn't notify my landlord or roommate that I'd be back late. Roommate messaged me. Ah.. thanks :) but then again, come to think of it, I think she's graduating soon too :(

Hoping for the best in MOIP1 : Can we finish it? Do well? : Also wondering if the video would actually serve its purpose... Haha... just some how.. :\

Day 25

Interim assessment day.

Went to school earlier to see if I could help Aaron with editing the video.. but.. no sight of him when I reached.. Searched a little.. Then suddenly thought he might not have completed the editing on the rough cut of the video that's to be presented during interim assessment at 12.30 later. So, did some rough and quick one.. but the video was still long.. and, it would take like 8-9 hours for the rendering to be completed O_O... so, PANICKED... ZZz... I hate that feeling. Increased the speed, removed audio. It would still take long to render.....

Finally TY came, followed by Vivien, and then Aaron. Both Vivien and Aaron had morning class so,... :\

Panicked!

Anyway, tried to transfer everything into Raj's laptop cause rendering would be faster... Actually found out that the computer we used was very lousy and slow... Zzz. What bad luck.

Presentation started.

Kind of liked SNAP's one.. as in, a lot of effort put in for animation and all.. Nice :) ..eventhough it's not complete. Looking forward to the whole thing! Keep it up! Don't quite understand the trailer or advert or whatever you call it though..

CREWSADE's video was epic.. thought that it was actually difficult to make an epic documentary.. looked a little weird, as in, it gave some kind of weird feeling? Not so sure.. but I thought the part where Greg looked for the scrolls, Raj's 3D lamp, and the scene at the darkroom was cool.. and..they have quite some words used o.o..

LOONEY BIN's group! Hahaha. Funny.. Looks up reminiscing! MY EYE!! Butterfly! :)) They're all so funny :) Just thought that Kirin's part needs to be redone. Didn't quite understand the ending though.. but hey, you guys managed to make it into a comedy :)

PRESS TO EXIT. o.o.. They redid the whole thing, change of concepts and all. Actually I kind of liked their previous introduction.. but transition idea and all is better. Ehhh... Found both their group and our group,..for some scene,..kind of similar. For example, transition wise, the door part, and SUBTITLES! Ehh.. We thought of that too k? So, not copying xP. Blog's the proof! Haha :)

SPC... Aaron did the whole presentation. Yay... Hahaha. Ah... still not done with rendering at that time :( but managed to show it using Raj's laptop in PremierPro... Not complete :( I hope we do well.. :(

Anyway, other than group members, thanks a lot to Raj for your laptop, Wendy for your hard disk, Naf for your consultation on maya lol, and Mallory for encouragement. :).. and Sorry Alvin for delaying your work D:..and to fellow classmates that waited... :\...... Really hope it doesn't happen again..

Day 24

Today..


TY did a rough stickman animation on how the ending would look like. Very cute la hahaha. *skips?* XD Somehow she couldn't import the song she wanted to use into flash.. Hmm... Thought that all was okay, just that the part when the stickman falls and begins running might need a little little editing on timing. Not so sure about it..but anyway, good job TY :) Cute work. Vivien came late today cause she has some MMFund stuff to do. LoL.. Eating with parents in school.. Somehow I find it cute..and rare here. Haha. :) Hmm.. Then she started doing on the powerpoint slides.. Funny girl... Said she would have to go home earlier to do her work...but she ended up staying in school till the security guard came. Both TY and Vivien were watching Howl's Moving Castle on youtube. Haha. Too bad they couldn't finish it.


Aaron came late also.. He tried solving some problems with his Portable hard disk, like, why wouldn't it work and stuff.. Hmm... Later, he did editing on PremierPro.. Woo.. Good, finally moving on :) Tried getting some softwares from my thumbdrive.. Somehow cannot. Haha. Hmm.. also tried to put all videos into .rar file type. Too bad it only completed after the Security Guard came.. Well anyway, he couldn't do editing at home, he had to go off for dinner with his sister, and he has to come early to school on the next day :x Good luck! :)


As for me, wanted to ask Raj about Maya but he wasn't in school :(.. Had some problems with the intro..

Friday

I think I got the days wrongly. Will check when I feel like checking, and will correct them when I feel like correcting them. Haha..

Anyway, yesterday, erm, went to school, went to take pictures of Aaron's 2D Art Fund works, went to ask Raj about Maya, went back to the 2D Animation Lab, saw TY's idea of animating the puppet (doubt we'll be using the stop motion already. What a waste but well, if it's not needed, it doesn't need to be there :)). Arranged the videos a little in Premier Pro, Vivien came, waited for Aaron to come edit. End up looking at Deviantarts and cosplay pictures on Kevin's laptop. When all is here, went to eat. Later, wanted to do Maya in the 3D animation lab but ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz it's not working...maybe expired..=_= That is so not helpful. Aaron was playing some game JY played the other day.. Wasn't very happy cause there's no big progress..something like that, because it was supposed to be a day for editing the video...so that we(Vivien, TY and I) could actually start animating the puppet..

4.30pm came. There was some kind of talk that we knew on the day itself, which is probably done last minute, by some random people from the industry in the LT.. Year 1-3 MOIers were present... but I thought it was kind of, a waste of time... It might be beneficial to those taking video but I don't think the talk helped that much anyway. No hard feelings.. but just what I thought of it. Thought they should know that MOI consists people majoring in Video, AND Animation, and that they should not give a talk when they will only be talking about and only know about Video. I just thought that it wasn't necessary for all people to go.. and I was quite worried about the time since I was going back to Malaysia. Hmm.. nevermind. Anyway, was quite sad that someone said we hated each other, when asked if the Seniors and Juniors mixed with each other. Might be a joke, but might be real as well. Later, there's this short brief Mr Ronald gave about people to assist during the Diploma Show. Hmm... Next meeting- Monday 5pm? if I got it right.. haha.. Still thinking if I should be in it..

Went back to Malaysia. Again, long journey. There was this annoying little boy who kept whining in the bus about wanting to sit near the TV, something like that... but there's also this cute little girl who's very quiet wearing some pikachu outfit... :) Seeing her makes me feel comfortable, somehow. Ah... had late late late late late late dinner but YUM. :D

Day 23

Once more, woke up late.. So, reached school about.. 11.45am? TY was already there, doing the animation of the girl she drew. Woo.. so early :s :) Hmm.. later went up to Level 6 to take pictures of our(Viv, TY, mine, since Aaron wasn't from Amanda's class) 2D Art Fund works.

D: Was supposed to do that at 11 but since i woke up late,..haha.. Anyway, she was out at that time, so, couldn't take pictures. Then, went to the 2D animation lab again, went to do a little little video editing, just rough cuts... and a little little of arrangement. Alvin's group and ours were using the same pc :\.. So when they came, let them use it. Found it kind of troublesome. Asked brother if I could borrow his portable hard disk but it seems that his gf brought it back to Malaysia or something? :\ Hmm.. so we actually thought of going to the PC Fair at Suntec City? but er,.. didn't go in the end. Figured I'd just make a back up by copying the videos into my thumbdrive, something like that. Wondering if we should change pc..

Ah.. anyway, shifted our paintings back up. :) Went up to Level 6 to take pictures of works. Thank you Amanda! :)

Ate lunch at Mensa with Vivien and TY. :) It was cold :\ Hmm.. anyway, later, went to the 3D animation lab to film on TY's animated girl part. The color was..off? Screen was also too bright. And we didn't know how to adjust the screen so that they don't have those lines.. Waited till Aaron came. Went to eat and buy tape. Now we have 3 tapes... :o

Hmm..then, went to film, but in the Mac Lab this time.. no more line thingy :). Took some time. Also filmed on the part where I'm supposed to flip the pictures.. By the time we were done, it was already 9+pm, 2D animation lab was closed, no one was inside, but our bags were inside :\... So we went to look for the security guard.. Haha.. >_>..

Went home :).

TY wanted us to listen to this song, to see if it was suitable for the ending because once she heard it, she thought of the ending. Haha.. I was okay with it, just that I don't know if it would be weird if we suddenly insert a Japanese song into the vid. I guess we'll see how things go. :o :)

Also wondering if we still need to film(like, I thought you guys said you wanted to show some of the Design school? Something like that.. for the intro where there's the flying camera thing).. or take pictures(Aaron's 2D Art Fund work maybe?).. but anyway, will be returning the equipments.

Zzz.. Anyway, walked up the block.. Saw this cat.. Kind of weird.. It looked at me with those big eyes.. When I walked, it moved up. When I stopped, it looked at me, and came down, as if it was going towards me. Got kind of afraid but anyway, Walked up, and it climbed the stairs again... but it'll stop to see if I was behind. Zzz.. Repeated for a few times.. But when it took a turn at one floor, I quickly climbed up. Was afraid it would follow me D: ^^;

Day 22

Hmm.. today was rather strange, somehow.. Haha..

Anyway, filmed on me talking about Animation(lighting was kind of weird? Couldn't really see the PC screen but ah well..don't wish to talk to the cam again! unless i really really have to D:), the photographs (if it's taken properly.. :s), and the door!(No idea why it had to be open though..nvm. Haha.) Ooooh.. like, FINALLY..! XD

Also printed out the part where we're supposed to be doing the flipping thing of TY running.. it was kind of small.. and kind of hard to flip.. >_>;.. but didn't manage to film it. Oh.. Mr Ronald also gave the idea of animating the flipping part, doing it in flash...

Have yet to film a few more parts because some things have to be done first, like animating? and erm,.. ending is still..not clear..

The day was like, kind of scary.. cause at first it was Aaron that looked kind of moody, because he's sleepy. Then, TY, because she's hungry. D:.. Sorry TY. We will try to eat earlier! xO..

Ah yes.. Thanks again Shol, for like, helping us open the door, prevent the light from coming in, and for entertaining us. Hah XD

Day 21

I FELT STUPID DAY!

Hahaha.. woke up LATE.. went down the block, some sort of banged an uncle on bicycle..Not really,.. was holding video cam on my right and Aaron's A2 board on my left. So, the guy some sort of hit the board a little.. Ahh.. >_>;;.. but anyway, thank you Aaron's A2 board! HAHAHA... wouldn't know what would happen.. Anyway after that, went off to school, wondering if it was my fault for the little crash...

Reached school, met up with Vivien and TY in the canteen. Took a look at the pictures they brought. Sorry, couldn't bring any. Didn't have any. Haha.. Then went up to the 2D Animation lab.. met Aaron there.. Continued our stop motion. Zzz. Didn't have the mood to do it. Holded the strings as if I have no interest/energy I don't know why haha. Kind of tired eventhough I woke up late.. Aaron had an idea of animating it using different mediums... eg Blackboard, Whiteboard...

Later, went off for a break.. Went to film the talk on MOIP1.. FINALLY managed to film that part but Zzz.. talking into the camera is not my kind of thing... ~_~.. Noticed I always blink my eyes.. Zzz... Anyway, things look kind of different since TY and Aaron did it while sitting, and Vivien and I did it while standing.. Hahah. Sorry I had to do it a few times. Haha.. Ah... there were lots of noise during filming=_=...

Then, we went to transfer the video into the PC.. Went to KFC for dinner. Hahah, talked =). Then, hmm.. went back, met up with Aaron again. Continued stop motion. Finally the mannequin LOOKED AS IF it was walking... but still kind of weird =s.. Oh..and we thought it was really tough.. So we're trying to look for another alternative, like maybe use Aaron's idea, or animating it using flip book but the way they did it in the Aqua Timez - Alones MV. Not so sure yet.. Hmm... Change of plans.. Haha..

Well anyway, didn't manage to film the door part because the security guard was pretty early today =_=... which was not a pleasant thing. Didn't quite like the way he looked at us and all, but I guess everyone has their own reason of doing things.. like cause, he wouldn't be able to go home if we don't?...

But then again, we didn't really go home right after he shoo-ed us out. Actually took pictures because it was a coincidence that all of us are wearing clothes/had a jacket with a hood! And we didn't plan this. :D Had Sholleh to help us take some pictures :) Thanks Shol :) but... was forced to get into the rubbish bin with the others....=.=....

They thought it was pretty fun. Came up with this idea for intro like a rubbish bin opening, you pop up, name appears, there, that's your intro! The rest thought it was pretty fun=.=.. like, why not make it a MOI production.. Zzz.. Anyway, leg was kind of numb=.=. So therefore, being put into a rubbish bin made me feel kind of stupid also... >_>..

Went home. Roommate told me something I didn't notice.. OMG.. felt stupid.. =.=

Ah well.. it was quite a fun day though.. Photos..? Colour's kind of diff though...haha..

Day 20

Hahaha.. in school now..waiting for the rest of the members. Too bored, had nothing to do D:, haven't blogged for 2 days, so I figured I might as well blog now. Hahah.. Ohh.. TY is watching anime with Wendy now/drawing? :O..

What I remember is that,.. er... We wanted to film on Animation, MOIP1, the door, the puppet, and photographs? So er, first, gathered some photos we took for Photography Final... Then, heard that the 3D Animation lab was going to be in use... So, we couldn't film for Animation and the door for sure.

To make things up, we decided to do stop motion for the puppet(mannequin actually).. Went online to look for some dance moves, decided on one after some time, and then we went to get some A3 boards..but it was not very helpful cause we forgot we needed a lot of space on the right of the stage.. In the end, thankfully, there were some drawing essentials final drawing, therefore there were a2 boards, and we decided to use them. :) but ah.. which means the a3 boards are put to waste. Hopefully Vivien will be able to use them someday :)

Did some stop motion for puppet.. OMG.. hard... haha... looks nice at the beginning but when it actually began its dance move, HAHAHA looked weird.. decided to continue the next day.

Also tested on how the door would look like when all lights are off. Boo.. dark... haha... but nice effect at the door there.. the light from outside shone inside :)

Ohhh... it feels different blogging for today.. why i wonder? Well anyway, felt stupid today. Bought some bottled drink back and when I actually opened it, zzzz... D: root beer could be seen on the floor. HAHA...=_=.. Was stoning for a moment, felt stupid, and 3 lines. Haha.. ok crap.

Ideas..?

Thought of a few ideas for MOIP1. Some of it may be STUPID, LAME, whatever you'd think it is.

First one was, because someone said something about putting subtitles last time, I actually took it er, kind of, seriously. So, 1. Put subtitles. 

The other one was, some kind of chatterbox? Convo box? Something like the pictures below..

So,..2. Chatterbox?

I'm sure you people played games before right? Like, er, Pokemon or something? Then when people say something in the game, it's like words pop up right? But I'm talking about something like, er, like, your picture shows up, then there's the box there, containing words that you say. Examples below..

 

3. Picture/ animated you with your lines?

Also, remember our 3D lamp with the alien thing? Thought of using the lamp, putting some wall beside or something. Then, it'll face the wall, shining onto the wall. Then, from there, a video or animation or whatever you want to put there will show up. Something like those old films and all.. If you get what I mean.. 4. Lamp

So to sum it all up,

About yesterday..

Was supposed to meet up with TY at 10.30am to do a little more filming, some sort of to compensate the day before being not productive. Said we would meet if we could wake up.

Reached school on time. Talked with Gina a little, while watching her group members reach one by one.

Then went to the classroom. Waited till about 11? Sent TY a message. Continued waiting for a little while more, called her. No reply. Soon after, she messaged and said she just woke up and that she'll be rushing over. Er, ya, what else could I do other than wait?

The other two group members had morning class.. So I thought they'd come over at 12pm or 12 something? Waited... but not a single person came into the room, after Wendy and her group left that is.. At 12 something, Vivien gave a call, saying that she's upstairs doing her MMFund assignment that has to be passed up on Tuesday. She asked if I wanted to come up. I said no.

Waited till about 1.30pm. Before that, finally got fed up so I texted TY, asking what's taking her so long? Like, I mean, didn't she say she'll be RUSHING OVER?? She replied, reaching.. going to help Vivien with her work. I was like, WTF? I'm here waiting and you're going up to help Vivien. So ya, took a walk near class.

Aaron messaged, asking where I am. Replied, asked him the same thing. Then he asked what was I doing. ....Shouldn't he be answering me first? =_=So I didn't bother replying. Soon, saw him. Followed by Vivien and TY behind, just a few steps away?

Gathered in the classroom. Felt pissed, somehow. Didn't want to see their faces. So I walked out. Saw Joel, Gina, and her group. Spent some time with them, then, back to work with groupmates. SORRY I WASTED YOUR TIME ... but I didn't really give a damn at that time.

Ah well.. Anyway, It was the day when I realised hugging was..quite a thing... Thanks Jen and Gina. and the day when I actually liked the way a lecturer treated his students...

Not to rant much but people said I should tell them, even a groupmate said that? So, that was how I felt the other day. I am pretty calm now. Blablabla... Maybe I was too sensitive, maybe I was kind of stressed, maybe it's my fault. But from my point of view, I didn't think it was.

Friday

Didn't knew it was already Day 20. Turned out to be not a very good day. Maybe there's a reason for my coil thing to break. Hahah.

Er, today was, embarrassing.... but I got to know more things here and there. Anyway, thanks to Jen, Gina, Shuxian, Adeline, Kala?(ah..one whole group :)), Joel, Mr Julian(for being caring on the group's production), and Mr RONALD! :DD I felt touched. :) <3

Er.. on group activity, didn't do much again today.. Only managed to film the part where my other 3 group members talked about things and the part where TY flicks the puppet..

Clock stroke 5, had to go. Said byebye, went home, to interchange, to mrt, to bus terminal, met brothers, went onto that do-not-know-why-so-small-bus, had my journey back to Malaysia. Got stuck around the custom.. since there's this terrorist on the loose -_-. It was the longest journey back.

BLAH....

Day 19

Thought I was a little little little little late for school, but turned out that I wasn't :D... 

Aaron woke up late, had something to do, so, absent. Will update him tomorrow, or something.

Err.. today wasn't a very productive day. Only managed to film TY running. D: but I hope things turn out well. Actual plan was to take pictures of her running... BUT.. the pictures just had to be BLUR.. Wanted to increase the shutter speed BUT... it would end up looking too DARK.. So, yeah, fed up, thought of new ways, so we end up taking only the video of her running. Then, we'll some sort of make it look like a photograph or something. Yeah.. Er anyway, it was a change of location (filming, I mean..) The two places are not linked :x... but in Design School, there's no wrong answer, right? ;)

Wanted to film for animation(which was my part-_-) and the door also, like, at least edit the door.. cause the mouse cursor is..too big??? or something... Erm,.. but.. yeah.... Ha.. >_>;

So, to kind of compensate for it, TY and I are planning to go school earlier(if we manage to wake up..) to film on the door, with hope that the animation lab will not be occupied (that's one of the reason why we didn't do it today..)

Will be editing the door later, if I don't accidentally sleep, suddenly feel sleepy, get distracted, or anything like that. Ahaha. Shouldn't take a long time..

Day 18

Woke up. Slept again. Ended up waking up late. Rushed to school cause I was helping Germaine's group carry their video camera. Glad I wasn't late.

And so... helped Germaine's group out on their introduction, along with Shermin. They filmed their introduction twice. Hopefully they got what they wanted. Go you people! :))

Ate lunch with Raj, Wendy, Greg, and Jeremy.

Went around to see if there are people who are willing to help our group act as students again, but this time, with Ronald. :) Was kind of tough.. Everyone was  busy with their work. But anyway, some of them managed to make it. Thank you so much people!! and those that actually offered to help. Much love :) Anyway, Ronald was sooooo funny x) and cute. Ahaha. =) Thanks a lot to you too, Mr Ronald! :D :D :D You made my day. Good acting :P but I still can't believe it's your first time acting :x

Err.. then,... since TY forgot to bring the shirt she wore yesterday, couldn't film/take pictures of her running today. [It's okay! I told you! :))] Ah.. didn't do much.. Not a very productive day.

Anyway, I was the first to go off today, off to dinner with my brothers and uncle. Walao... brothers never tell me it's my uncle's birthday =___=... but anyway, my stomach had a good day :))))) My heart didn't.

Oh... also took some more photos today...not much. AH.. come to think of it, I missed the chance to take pictures with my brothers too D: Silly me.

Day 17

Like I said, I had better blog on the day itself. Ah.. didn't sign attendance today. Wondering if we actually have to? Cause we're filming and we're actually always in school...but not class.

Helped Shermin's group act. Quite a number of people got confused on who's the one filming.. L o L . . . Was the "fake crew". We were supposed to "film" Derrick being slapped by some girl. Cute little group mates did some "demo". Guess what? Aaron and Vivien were like acting for fun but Vivien, forgot to stop, got too into it, and actually end up slapping him. His specs even flew >_>;;;;..... ^^;;;.. Hope he's okay. Ahaha.

Filmed on Video Fundamentals today. Thought it was.. er.. kind of.. not well planned again.. Glad to get Shermin, Adeline W, Cheryl, Derrick, Germaine, and Yuan Ming to help us act. :) Boon Bin and Raj's group couldn't make it. JY disappeared and left his "cinderella shoes"-his sketchbook laa.. Thanks people. and So sorry D:... Felt guilty.. I am a super bad bad bad "director".. I believe I've wasted lots of your time. Same to Julian...but thanks for some opinion...and time. :).. Was actually super nervous as unprepared when I was told to film it all by myself D: . Never really did that before. Was also stressed cause there's some changes to the storyboard... D: Almost broke.. haha...=_=;.....I hope we don't need to reshoot it. Played some computer games in class. Slowly, began taking pictures of the others playing. Then, was supposed to film but wanted to take some group pictures. Aaron then slept, so Vivien, TY and I took more pictures.. lol..TY, you're strong! for being able to carry me o___O.. :) but ah.. should take more GROUP photos. Ahaha. :x

Day 16

Ah.. figured I had better blog on the day itself or a few days after.. because if not i'll end up forgetting OR.. well,..yeah,.. like the previous posts.. >_>;

Totally forgotten that we've to pass up a hard copy of our blog entries today. Only knew when Vivien told me. So, rushed to complete the blog(That's why so short? lol).. in fact, I accidentally slept.. so, I only managed to do it on the day itself. BUT.. I have no idea why we have to print them out...like, what's the blog for? What's internet for? I thought blogs were for lecturers to see/read our progress..true BUT WHY do we have to print it out??? It's a waste of money, paper, ink, and time(the queue was long and some @#$#^@%^ people took super long, staying infront of the pc for like, half an hour?). Yep -_-.

Anyway, back to the day itself. Today was the day we actually started filming on our content. Introduction was filmed on Saturday already :). Panicked cause Mr Alan didn't show up even when it was already 2. So, went up a few times to the staffroom to reach him. AT LAST,.. found him :). Wasn't very prepared actually, and they were rehearsing their lines and all.. Ah.. D: but anyway, yeah, managed to film Mr Alan in it. [Thanks for sparing some time with us eventhough you're busy!] Well you see, it was the only day when we actually get to film him cause he'll then be on leave D:. Nevermind. It was a good thing it was short x).

Also filmed the part where the puppet flies pass the 2D art paintings. Since some were already gone(we were asked to bring up our paintings by at least, tomorrow noon), we shifted some of the paintings and then filmed. Oh.. it was a good thing we managed to borrow a trolley from the school. :) Filming was made easier that way. Hmm.. Aaron also managed to find some string/rope from some banner that wasn't in use anymore. So yay :). What is it for? You'll see it in our video when it's done, that is, if you pay enough enough enough enough of attention :). Anyway, it was kind of fun filming it I guess? I was in charge of pulling the string/rope >_>;;..Ah yes, pictures can be found in Vivien's blog. The video's really funny cause they were actually filming but yet...lol..if you actually get what I mean..

Hmm.. sorry group members. Have yet rendered the door in 800x600 pixels D:..

Then, was told to draw/sketch the puppet, chibi-fying it. Drew it, scanned it. I hope it's okay. Have yet to receive any feedbacks on it. Was happy that I met Amanda. She's nice :).

Later, met the group members for dinner :). I have no idea why Aaron and Vivien always argue with each other. Ahaha. Funny but yet errrr..dot dot dot at times. Hahahah...

Anyway, thought that there should be some changes for Drawing Essentials... Rather than using the same drawing, we could actually use different ones..just that it still ends with a human drawing later..and for Animation Fundamentals, thought that some sketches before animating should be added. Also, since my script is sooooooooooo long, I'm going to shorten it. I have 0-ZERO confidence in memorizing the whole thing. [VIVIEN AHHHH....WHY YOU MAKE IT LONGER.......] And I've also thought of putting up works directly, rather than watching it from the pc screen. Thought it would actually look better and more sufficient.

Saturday

Met the group members in school.

Tape was some sort of dirty or dusty so we had to wait for it to get cleaned D:. Then, decided to buy a new tape from opposite school.

Did filming for introduction. OMG those people sure take their time to walk.. >_>. but nevermind. Had some difficulties. Yep. Have yet to choose videos.. but one thing for sure, it was better than the previous takes :). Ting Yu had to go cause she has work. D: I hope she didn't end up being late for work >_>..

Nothing much happened. but YAY. It was the last day of the block. Thus, last day of DHC! :D :D :D

Day 15

Interim Assessment Day.

Honestly, we weren't very prepared for the interim assessment. Remember the short clip of some trial take on the introduction? We left it rendering in school but it was too big a file to fit Vivien's thumbdrive that has not much space left. So, we didn't manage to include it in our presentation.

Anyway, Wahidah was not very happy today, and starting penalising groups that were late or unprepared. Some were not very happy about it..

Uh huh,.. every group presented. Most of us did powerpoint. Since the file of the door opening wasn't in the computer, we only managed to show a still picture of the door. At that time, the door was still in progress.

Reason for adding puppet:

We added this puppet to make it look as though it is our fifth member in the group. It would always like to be in the lime light, having to be on camera. It will be very curious into finding out the course, so it could be seen at certain areas trying to listen or even explore the school itself. However, it will only come to life or hide away from Yi Chuin, the creator of it.  

What we've done:

—-We have begin animating the door for the introduction but still in progress as we need to animate the mouse cursor and of which color the door should be

—-Started doing a portion of the stone which will form the group’s name

—-Introduction of group members, however it didn’t turn out to be successful 

-Filming of the flowy journey but it too didn’t turn out as what we expected.

We didn’t really expected that the introduction of members and even the flowy journey itself would be that tough to film. One thing for sure, the camera that we used is bulky and heavy as well. Whenever, we wanted to film the introduction of members, people would always walk past. Furthermore, when we film Ting Yu, it was kind of weird just seeing her jump so we decided to let her run up front and jump to make it more natural.

Sunday: Yi Chuin continue animating the stone

Monday: Film the scene of Mr. Alan and Mr. Julian

Tuesday: Filming  on Mr. Ronald 

The other groups did well in presenting too. Found it quite interesting, on the approach style they're going for. They showed some clips for us to get a glimpse on what they're doing. :)

Day 14

It's the interim assessment tomorrow.

Erm, animation of door is almost complete. All that's left is the colour of the door, frame, and timing. Had some problems there just to decide on the colour.. but anyway, in the end we chose red.

Later, since it's the interim assessment tomorrow, we had to get some things ready. And so... TY edited the storyboard. Aaron edited the script. I did the timeline. Vivien did the powerpoint.

TY also edited the video a little but there were some problems so we had to re-render it again, this time, in a MUCH MUCH shorter time. Previously it was like, 11 hours? Then it became about 40 minutes. But anyway it was late already so we decided to go home. Sent the pictures and video to vivien online.

Day 13

It's a good thing we have an active blogger or at least someone who has a good memory in our group. Why?? It's for references. AHAHA.

Anyway, didn't do much on Day 13. Had DHC in the morning today. After class, saw Vivien doing her DHC Sincity assignment. Helped her out with it, in coloring..(Yeah, no prob..) lol. Aaron and TY then came to join us. TY colored her assignment also, Aaron slept. Then, 3 o clock came and it was time for their DHC. No fair.. I was the only one who had morning lesson today D: So i went back home, supposed to rest, but anyway, did the door, but incomplete. Met up with group members.

Did some filming on the introduction. It seems that it's actually hard to do it.. Like, it's easy to imagine but ya..not film it. Decided to do it on Saturday because that's when, we think, the school would be occupied with lesser people.

And then, went to the 3D animation lab to look for door textures. 

Day 12

Wahidah wanted to see us on our script. Told us the right way to write camera shots and movements. Example: Mid shot of the leaves of the tree, tilting down to mid shot of the tree trunk. She also said we need not write things that the audience would already know, meaning some unnecessary sentences are to be removed. Then, we talked about the dialogues. Some are still weird. Wahidah told all of us to read the script so that we would actually know what's going on.(Sorry Vivien. You had to answer all her questions^^;) Then, she also commented on the puppet thingy since we added more of it in the video. Basically, the puppet will be trying her best to get noticed, to be in the video, trying to help out? Wahidah also gave some of her opinions. Thought that she sounded quite excited about it too. Ahaha. Anyway, she said why not show the puppet only when I am not around/did not notice =(. Hmm...I don't mind, but it seems a little different from what the puppet's personality should be. Nevermind =). Oh, Wahidah also said we could, and actually, SHOULD use the previous storyboard we did for Video Fundamentals. After that, loaned the video camera but TY forgot to bring the tape.

So we went to the 3D animation lab to do some test on animating the door. Turned out okay but erm, ya. We need to know how the door would look like. Had some problems cause the door, when animated, changed texture. 

Haven't really started on animating the stone cause I've DHC homework to do too =\. BUT ahaha..too bored to do it now so I blog.

So,..today, showed Mr Ronald the sketchbooks. Nothing much. Showing it to him again when TY brings hers. Later while waiting for Alan to be out of the HereAfter HD room, saw Mr Ronald and Vaani. Had some talk with them. OH, anyway, managed to ask Mr Alan and Mr Julian if they could help us act. For that, ooohhhhhh waited till about 5+ pm. but good news! They said they can help us out, but they're only free on Monday. This week is really really a busy one for them cause there's the Final Year Project presentation. Alan is on leave from Monday onwards. =\ but anyway, since both of them agreed, AHAHA...RONALD HAS TO FULFILL HIS PROMISE! :P

Then, showed Ronald the storyboard. Ahaha. So funny. They(since Alan and Julian came later) were talking about how they looked in the storyboard. Alan actually took a picture of it! OMG. HAHA. Anyway, NOT RACIST AHHH.. Yep. Oh..Ronald said since there were 3 people thinking of majoring in animation in the group, the video should have more animation >_>.

Slowly, Julian followed by Ronald and Vaani left. Had some talk with Alan. We showed him the storyboard. He said the door could actually done in After Effects, but 3D would be fine too. He also said we should have drewn some of the flying camera shots, like background when the door opens(but then again, come to think of it, it will be bright at first). He also said the photographs becoming a video one with TY running would be hard because we don't have the equipments. He mentioned things like HD equipments, bluescreen, greenscreen, etc. He said it was a good idea but yeah, maybe we should have done some test before deciding on it. He also came out with the idea of using animation then fading into real TY running. So hmm,.. we'll see how things go? About the others, can't really remember the exact term and all.. Bad memory.. haha.. Oh yeah, he said eventhough we were given a lot of time, we should not do last minute work... Yeah..

After the talk with Alan, went to Tampines Mall to meet Aaron and TY for dinner. Ah.. there's this Open Plaza thing.. Saw them play. I saw smiles all over =). It was a nice sight. Vivien and I dare not try it though.. Then, went in to eat dinner. Then, to the arcade where Aaron and TY had like, 2 matches of...some hockey game thing. Don't know what it's called. Haha..violent..but full of excitement. Last round, all of us played. Ahh... >_>... I suck and I was the only one who did not get any injury at all ahaha. Hmm then Aaron and TY had Vivien sit inside this Snoopy thing... Hahahah =) and they took a video of it. Later, went to the interchange where we swinged our hands together Ahaha. Embarassing but fun..? Erm, then went to TY's place. :O Didn't knew they were serious about it. Ooooh we played this eye... ..forgot what it's called. Then, TY brought her rabbits. :) Looked at some of her childhood times photographs. :) Cute. :)) Then, yep, all of us went back.

Ahh.. it's such a pity we didn't have the video camera to tape all of this.. BONDING.. fun times :) Wondering if I could be like them one day. But that is quite far away for now. I'm not a daring person, so that makes me a boring person. =\. Nevermind.

Reminder: Have to e-mail Julian and all about the filming. Maybe see Alan on Friday too? Lecturers are having meeting at 2? So yeah, maybe the interim assessment would be on Thurs :(

Saturday, 16th Feb

Supposed to meet Vivien and TY at 10.30am to get the manikin/mannequin(both are correct) from Art Friend @ Bugis but Vivien accidentally left her phone in silent mode so... yeah. When I couldn't get through her phone, told them that it's a change of plan. Aaron-work.

And so.. resumed my precious sleep, ended up waking up at 12+pm. Met up with elder brother for lunch. Eventually, went to Orchard. Window shopped, and OMG we actually got something for ourselves =). Also, got a manikin from Art Friend @ Takashimaya. =) There were about 3 sizes like, Small, Medium and Large but the prices were..actually,..surprisingly,..quite close. Chose the Medium sized one. =) There's this very funny and nice uncle working there by the way.=DD

Met up with Vivien and TY later at night. Discussed a little on where the puppet animation should be added. Also looked through the script, schedule, identifying the shot sizes and some camera movements. Will be talking more about it on Sunday when all of us are available. 

Message for TY: Get more rest! =) Hope you didn't suffer too much today x_X.

Vivien will be editing the script, and I will be doing on Schedule for next Monday to Wednesday. TY will be resting. (You better do! =))

Message for Vivien: Don't push yourself too much. If you're sleepy, just go to bed. =)

On the 13th Feb, went to McDonald's to discuss with group members. Of course, ate.

On the 15th Feb, went to McDonald's to eat dinner with friends. (Remember the CG screening thing?)

On the 16th Feb, went to McDonald's to eat lunch with elder brother. Then, ate dinner at McDonald's with Vivien (TY ate already?), had group discussion. (AH..maybe I should have eaten dinner with my brother..)
